The Riverland Community College baseball team dropped a 4-2 decision on the road to Century College on Tuesday afternoon in MCAC Southern Division play.

Century took control early, scoring single runs in the second, third, fourth, and fifth innings to build a 4-0 lead.

Riverland answered in the fourth inning, cutting the deficit in half. Freshman LF Hideki Ohira drove in a run on a groundout, and Sophmore OF Roland Figueroa (Ponce, PR) followed with an RBI single to make it 4-2. 

Riverland managed four hits in the contest, with sophomore 3B Raul Martinez (Santa Isabel, PR), sophomore 2B Peyton Ransom (Austin, MN), Ohira, and Figueroa each recording one. Ohira and Figueroa accounted for the team's two RBIs.

On the mound, sophomore RHP Khalil Fernandez (Arecibo, PR) went six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits while striking out five.
