Riverland Picks Up Road Win Over Mesabi Range

Riverland Community College used a dominant second half to secure a convincing 94–68 victory over Minnesota North College–Mesabi Range Friday night at William Wirtanen Gymnasium.

After leading 39–29 at halftime, the Blue Devils erupted for 55 second-half points, overwhelming Mesabi Range with consistent interior scoring, offensive rebounding, and pressure defense.

Freshman guard Isaiah Lindor (Miami, FL) poured in a game-high netting 24 points (11-13 FT) & 6 rebounds. Sophomore forward Joe Poyser (Wildwood, FL) notched a double-double with 20 points, snatching 18 rebounds (11 Offensive) & 3 blocks. Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) double-double 12 points & 10 rebounds (5 Offensive). Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) 12 points & 4 steals. Freshman guard BJ Wortham (LaGrange, GA) 12 points (4-5 FG). 

Riverland finished with a 57–51 rebounding advantage and forced 15 turnovers, turning defensive pressure into steady scoring opportunities.
