Riverland Picks Up 92-68 Conference Road Win Over Minnesota West

Riverland Community College picked up a crucial 92–68 road victory over Minnesota West Community & Technical College Saturday afternoon in Worthington.

Riverland set the tone early with efficient offense and physical play inside, taking a 42–32 lead into halftime. The Blue Devils turned up the pressure after the break, outscoring Minnesota West 50–36 in the second half to put the game out of reach.

Sophomore forward Tristan Coleman (Maywood, IL) notched a double-double pouring in a game high 25 points & snatched 11 rebounds (4 Offensive). Freshman guard Isaiah Lindor (Miami, FL) double-double 15 points & snatched 12 rebounds Sophomore guard Lubab Kambalo (Sioux Falls, SD) 9 points. Sophomore forward Joe Poyser (Wildwood, FL) 8 points & 6 blocks! Freshman guard De'Vaun Suggs-Dabney (St. Paul, MN) 8 points (4-5 FG). Freshman guard Cam Fearon (Margate, FL) 7 points & dished out 5 assists. Sophomore guard Romelle Bell (Chicago, IL) 7 points. Sophomore guard Tyson Helms (Tucson, AZ) 6 points

As a team, Riverland shot 52.7% from the field and committed just 11 turnovers, while forcing Minnesota West into difficult looks throughout the game. The Blue Devils also tallied 10 blocks, anchoring a defensive effort that limited Minnesota West to 38.7% shooting.
