The Riverland men's soccer team dropped a 6–1 result on Thursday evening against Dakota County Technical College.
DCTC struck early, building a 3–0 lead by halftime. The Blue Devils fought to generate chances, recording seven shots on goal, but found it tough to break through the DCTC back line.
Riverland's goal came late in the second half, when Abdullahi Atanda Aderogba (Lagos, Nigeria) scored unassisted in the 87th minute to make it 5–1. The hosts would add one more in the closing seconds to secure the final 6–1 margin.
Goalkeeper Ethan Brown (Ramsey, England) stayed busy all night, finishing with eight saves on 14 shots faced.
Riverland (5-3-1) overall & (2-0-1 1st Place) MCAC will look to regroup as they play Sunday against St. Mary's JV.
