Minnesota North College–Vermilion used a dominant third-quarter surge to roll past Riverland Community College, 84–38, on Saturday afternoon.
The game was competitive through the first half, with Riveland trailing seven 30-23 at the break.
Sydney Shelby (Homer, AK) led Riverland with a strong all-around effort, finishing with 27 points and 17 rebounds while going 10-of-12 from the free-throw line. Najima Hassan (Mankato, MN) added 7 points, and Kiah Parkin (Crookston, MN) chipped in 7 rebounds.
Riverland will look to bounce back Friday night at home when they host MCAC Crossover against Gogebic (NJCAA D2 - MI)
