Riverland Community College battled through a challenging afternoon but fell to Ridgewater College, 80–14, in a Saturday afternoon matchup at home.

Ridgewater opened the game with strong defensive pressure and took control early, building a halftime lead before maintaining momentum through the second half. Riverland continued to compete on both ends of the floor, looking for scoring opportunities against a disciplined Ridgewater defense.

Freshman guard Lexi Lewis (Austin, MN) led Riverland on the glass with 11 rebounds. Freshman guard Kyana Hutchinson (Seward, AK) added four points off the bench on efficient shooting. Riverland continued to rotate players and gain valuable game experience throughout the contest.

Riverland will look to regroup next Wednesday (2/4) vs Minnesota State Fergus Falls for Fan Appreciation Day.
