The Riverland Community College women's basketball team fell on the road Sunday afternoon to Ridgewater College, 103-26.
Ridgewater came out strong and took control with a 35-point second quarter, building a 54-13 halftime advantage.
The Blue Devils finished shooting 9-of-36 (25%) from the field and 2-of-15 (13.3%) from three-point range, but were a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Sophomore guard Alexis Jones (Albert Lea, MN) led Riverland with eight points, knocking down two three-pointers. Freshman forward Keeli Johnson (Houston, AK) added six points and three rebounds. Freshman guard Najima Hassan (Mankato, MN) & freshman guard Lexi Lewis (Austin, MN) each finished with four points. Sophomore guard Erin Boorsma (Albert Lea, MN) contributed two points and two steals, and the Blue Devils recorded seven total steals defensively.
Sunday's game against Ridgewater marked the final game of the season for Riverland Women's Basketball.
