Riverland Community College Volleyabll picked up their first win of the 2025 season defeating Minnesota North College–Mesabi Range in four sets (25-18, 19-25, 25-20, 25-12).
The Blue Devils (1-1) put together a balanced offensive effort, finishing with 39 kills as a team while holding Mesabi Range to a .000 hitting percentage.
Sophomore outside hitter Brienna Brewer powered Riverland at the net, recording a match-high 12 kills to go along with 13 digs, three service aces, and 16 total points. Middle hitter Brenna Grade added 10 kills and two solo blocks for 12 points, while setter Macey Johnson directed the offense with 30 assists and chipped in seven kills of her own.
Defensively, libero Isis Walters anchored the back row with a team-high 19 digs. The Blue Devils' front line also made its presence felt, tallying five solo blocks and nine block assists.
Mesabi Range was led by Mamphys Tendrup, who finished with 10 kills and 15 digs, and Ashley Dahl, who posted six kills, four service aces, and nine digs.
After splitting the first two sets, Riverland found its rhythm behind aggressive serving and strong net play, pulling away in sets three and four to close out the victory.
