Riverland Volleyball Secures 3–1 Victory Over Sisseton Wahpeton

Riverland Women's Volleyball earned a hard-fought 3–1 win over Sisseton Wahpeton on the Road in South Dakota Saturday, taking the match by set scores of 25-20, 31-29, 18-25, and 25-18. The Blue Devils improved their overall record to (4-2) on the season with a balanced offensive effort and timely defensive plays to close out the victory!

Riverland relied on a strong attacking trio led by Brienna Brewer (Rapid City, SD),who recorded a match-high 14 kills and added six service aces for 20 total points. Brenna Grade (Wausau, WI) was highly efficient, hitting .385 with 12 kills and two solo blocks, finishing with 14 points. Brea Belting (Owatonna, MN) chipped in nine kills and a block, tallying 11 points.

Setter Macey Johnson (Chandler, AZ) kept the offense flowing with 38 assists to go along with eight kills of her own. Defensively, Kyana Hutchinson (Seward, AK) anchored the back row with a team-high 17 digs, while Ellasyn Carrier (Houston, MN) contributed 10 digs.

As a team, Riverland posted 49 kills, 68 digs, and 13 service aces.

The Blue Devils now turn their attention to their upcoming match at Western Tech in La Crosse, Wisconsin Wednesday. They look to build on the momentum from Saturday's victory.
